I read the book, Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can't Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Through the use of examples and scientific research, the author shows how introverts work in a society full of extroverts. One in every three people are introverts yet we still undervalue the introverts in our lives. There is no such thing as pure introverts or pure extroverts. We are working in a place where it makes it very difficult for introverts to produce quality work; High Tech High Chula Vista seemed to fit the description Susan Cain described almost perfectly.
I strongly recommend reading this book. This book can help everyone understand how we see introverts and how they see themselves. Though I found the book really interesting and fitting for me, it took me a really long time to read. Almost every page there were new words that I had not known and was forced to stop and look up the words because it wouldn't make sense. Along with that I have also had to reread several pages because I wanted to really understand the book.
